How pickups and drop offs work at Heathrow

That is important to understand before you reserve because Heathrow is different from other airports.

Terminal forecourts can be used only as drop-off areas. Vehicles cannot park there or even collect from there, and every entering vehicle incurs the fee regardless of type (private, taxi or pre-booked). Drop-off is very simple: your chauffeur arrives at the forecourt corresponding to your terminal, and the charge is already included in your price.

Collections happen via terminal car parks. The driver parks in the holding area of the airport which is a facility for drivers rather than passengers, and later proceeds to the pick-up area of a particular terminal's multi-storey after your arrival. In case of meet and greet reservation, the chauffeur meets you in arrivals with a named sign and takes you to the vehicle.

Heathrow currently operates four terminals, 2, 3, 4 and 5, which are sufficiently spaced out to be relevant. Make sure to confirm your terminal with the airline, and include it in the booking, as it will change the pickup point, route in and the parking space.

Journeys to and from Heathrow

Heathrow serves distant traffic from all across the country owing to its long haul service portfolio, which includes routes not provided by regional airports. The most popular connections include transfers from Birmingham to Heathrow and transfers from Bristol to Heathrow, while transfers from Southampton to Heathrow connect the south coast and Dover Cruise Terminal to Heathrow transfers combine cruise ship trips with further flights.
